Niwaki and Japanese tree art.
With Swiss precision.
Swiss quality in resonance with Japanese philosophy.
Swiss perfection meets Japanese philosophy. I do not simply cut trees - I create living sculptures through precise, masterful handwork for form, strength and timeless aesthetics.
For clients in the Zurich region, I shape and care for Japanese maples, pines and conifers so that a valuable tree keeps its form, strength and health for years.
I shape valuable garden trees around Zurich so their form stays clear, strong and healthy.
When the right cut brings back air, light and calm.
Pinus sylvestris 'Watereri' comparison: the work state with protected root area on the left, the finished niwaki form on the right - with no ladder or work gear in the after image.
The garden is the quietest room of the house.
A niwaki is not shaped only to look tidy. It changes the view from the house: morning coffee, an evening on the terrace, guests arriving and seeing a garden that feels calm, precise and alive.
I do not shape for a quick effect. A valuable tree should not look forced after the cut. It should look as if the form was already waiting inside it.
Nature's laws cannot be ignored.
Brown needles, dry branches and lost shape usually have one cause: the tree was cut too quickly or too cheaply. Fine shaping respects light, air and the energy distribution of the crown.
Cutting a branch takes a second. Growing a new one takes years.

An ordinary tree can become a remarkable garden form.
A master does not start with cutting. He first reads trunk movement, supporting branches, empty spaces, light windows and how energy moves through the crown.
I call this tree architecture, artistic pruning and crown-structure correction. The work follows the tree: what must stay, what can be relieved and which line can be built over the next years.
